MSM is derived from an all-natural source of dimethyl sulfide (DMS) that originates in pine trees. MSM is produced by twice oxidizing DMS to form DMSO2, also known as MSM. Unlike DMS, MSM is very soluble in water. On earth, plants take MSM into their root systems and incorporate it into the plants' structure.
 
I have been using NOW products for some time and actually was using MSM because of LINGUISIL being used in it. MY last purchase did not use this term. Has the ingredient changed?

We have removed the name from all of our newer labels. Please note that our strict MSM specifications have not changed. The MSM we are using now is of equally high quality and comes from the same producer that made Lignisul™.
